Build it yourself
Price it before you call anyone.
Most agencies make you sit through a discovery call to learn whether you can afford them. Move the sliders instead. It prices the build, your hosting plan over three years, and the renewal that catches most people out.
How to read it
Why the ranges are wide
Because a form cannot see your business. The low end assumes clear requirements, content ready, and nothing unusual. The high end assumes the opposite. Most projects land in the middle, and the written scope is what turns a range into a number.
Why it shows three years
A build is a one-time cost and a platform plan is forever. Quoting the first without the second is how people end up surprised. The third year is usually where an introductory rate has expired and the real price shows up.
If the number is too high
Tell me the real budget anyway. Scope can be cut, phases can be split, and sometimes the honest answer is that a platform plan and an afternoon of setup gets you most of the way for a fraction of $600. I would rather say that than sell you something you did not need.
